2. Data Controller

4.2 jiji2 does not use personal data for automated individual decision-making that produces legal effects on Players without human review, except for automated fraud detection flags which are reviewed by the jiji2 compliance team before any account action is taken.
5. Legal Bases for Processing
5.1 jiji2 processes personal data on the following legal bases under Republic Act No. 10173:
- Consent: Where you have given specific, informed, and freely given consent (e.g., marketing communications);
- Contractual Necessity: Where processing is necessary to perform our contract with you (i.e., the Terms & Conditions), including account management, game operation, and payment processing;
- Legal Obligation: Where processing is required to comply with applicable Philippine law, including anti-money laundering regulations and regulatory reporting requirements;
- Legitimate Interests: Where processing is necessary for jiji2's legitimate interests (e.g., fraud prevention, platform security, and business analytics) provided those interests are not overridden by your privacy rights.
6. Data Sharing and Disclosure
6.1 jiji2 does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Payment Processors: GCash (G-Xchange Inc.), PayMaya Philippines, Inc., and Philippine banking institutions (BPI, BDO, Metrobank) receive necessary financial data to process your transactions. Each provider is subject to their own privacy policy and Philippine banking regulations;
- Game Providers: Licensed third-party game providers (e.g., Pragmatic Play, PG Soft, Jili Games) receive the minimum data necessary to deliver gameplay sessions — typically a session token and anonymised player identifier, not your full identity data;
- KYC Service Providers: Identity verification may be conducted with the assistance of licensed KYC providers who process identity documents under strict data processing agreements;
- Legal and Regulatory Authorities: jiji2 will disclose data to competent Philippine authorities — including PAGCOR, the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC), and law enforcement — where required by law, court order, or legitimate regulatory request;
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity subject to equivalent privacy protections.
6.2 All third-party service providers who process personal data on behalf of jiji2 are bound by data processing agreements requiring them to handle your information securely and in accordance with jiji2's instructions and applicable Philippine law.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
7.1 jiji2 uses the following types of cookies on the Platform:
- Strictly Necessary Cookies: Required for the Platform to function. These include session authentication tokens and security cookies. These cannot be disabled.

8. Data Retention
8.1 jiji2 retains personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, and in any event no longer than required by applicable Philippine law. General retention periods are as follows:
- Account and Identity Data: Retained for the duration of the account relationship and for five (5) years following account closure, consistent with anti-money laundering retention requirements;
- Financial Transaction Data: Retained for a minimum of five (5) years as required under Philippine financial regulations;
- Support Communications: Retained for two (2) years from the date of the communication;
- Technical and Usage Data: Retained for thirteen (13) months on a rolling basis for analytics purposes, then deleted or anonymised;
- Marketing Preferences: Retained until you withdraw consent or close your account, whichever is earlier.
8.2 When retention periods expire, data is securely deleted or permanently anonymised in accordance with jiji2's data disposal procedures.
9. Your Data Subject Rights
9.1 Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data held by jiji2:

10. Security Measures
10.1 jiji2 implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure, or access. These measures include:
- 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmitted between your device and jiji2 servers;
- AES-256 encryption for personal data stored at rest;
- Strict role-based access controls limiting employee access to personal data on a need-to-know basis;
- Multi-factor authentication for all jiji2 internal systems that access personal data;
- Regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments by third-party security specialists;
- Incident response procedures in place for data breach detection, containment, and notification.
10.2 In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to the rights and freedoms of affected Players, jiji2 will notify the National Privacy Commission and affected data subjects within seventy-two (72) hours of becoming aware of the breach, as required by applicable regulations.
11. Children's Privacy
11.1 21+ The jiji2 Platform is strictly intended for adults aged twenty-one (21) years and above. jiji2 does not knowingly collect personal data from persons under the age of 21. If we become aware that personal data has been collected from a person under 21, we will take immediate steps to delete that data and close the associated account.
11.2 If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal data to jiji2, please contact our support team immediately via the contact details in Section 14.
12. Cross-Border Data Transfers
12.1 Some of jiji2's third-party service providers (including game providers and technical infrastructure providers) may be located outside the Philippines. Where personal data is transferred internationally, jiji2 ensures that appropriate safeguards are in place — including contractual data protection clauses equivalent to Philippine standards — before any such transfer occurs.
12.2 jiji2 does not transfer personal data to countries without adequate data protection frameworks without implementing appropriate supplementary safeguards and, where required, obtaining your prior consent.
13. Changes to This Policy
13.1 jiji2 may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our data practices, legal requirements, or operational changes. Where changes are material, we will notify registered Players via email and/or a prominent notice on the Platform at least seven (7) days before the changes take effect. The updated policy will always carry a revised effective date at the top of this page.
13.2 Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of an updated Policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you disagree with the changes, you may close your account and submit a data deletion request as described in Section 9.
